Contactless Access Control
Different access-control providers meant different systems to manage. We brought them together in one cloud platform, with branded iOS and Android apps and a central administration experience. Employees can use mobile badges in Apple Wallet; administrators can issue, suspend, resume and revoke access.
Designed for the morning rush
Access requests arrive in bursts. The architecture was designed for hundreds of thousands of requests over short periods, with separate provider integrations, independent administration portals and a federation server connecting them. Reporting, audit logs and health monitoring give operators visibility into the system they depend on.
From proof of concept to a product
We started with an access card and a limited dashboard, then expanded the platform through iterative releases. We also supported the client with scalability consultancy and training. Following the first release, they formed a sales team and sold the product to a major English bank.
Security Engineering Automator
Designing a security system involved thousands of items, manual calculations and inconsistent documentation. Engineers relied on expensive CAD software and familiar workflows that were difficult to change. We began with domain research and proofs of concept, then built a portal that brought designs, communications and digital assets together.
Less administration. More engineering.
An AutoCAD processor automated calculations and documentation. A browser-based design canvas then replaced the need for AutoCAD within the organisation. Engineers could design and manage their work in one place, reducing repetitive tasks and the opportunity for manual errors.
A lasting improvement to the workflow
The original project benchmarks reported workflows up to 20× faster, with some operations reduced from weeks to seconds. The result was more time for engineers to focus on design decisions. We continue maintaining and improving the software as part of a long-term relationship built on trust and confidentiality.
