Empowering the fans,

tappit rightsoft casy study
Cashless payments and in-event payment systems have become extremely popular over the last decade. The Covid-19 pandemic contributed to the scene and tripled the load on software infrastructures, to say the least. We all have been to an overcrowded festival or a sports event after the pandemic and experienced connectivity issues, payment failures, and broken sign-up flows creating massive unhappy crowds in front of bars and/or cashiers.

THE IMPLEMENTATION
— THE APPROACH
Our partnership started out as a TO-based project where we got the tasks as individual workpieces and delivered/released them on the promised timeline. Our unique standing point as a one-stop shop where all aspects of software product development are professionally provided made us the right choice for Tappit.

— ROADBLOCKS
The task was a complete rehaul of a cashless and digital payments platform with an abundance of 3rd party integrations and real-life use cases with QRs and wearable tech at some of the most crowded events around the globe.

THE RESULTS
— THE USABILITY
As a company policy, we do frequent and transparent process update meetings with our clients once we hit pre-defined milestones so that they would never have a surprise along the way.

— THE PRODUCTIVITY & GROWTH

Our approach of delivering a self-sufficient product that the client can easily configure and manage without our help saved and still continue to save them astronomical amounts of money and time. A self-healing and robust infrastructure with the best documentation possible also helped cut the constant consultancy costs as well.

Onboarding new clients, configuring the application, managing 3rd party integrations, and creating detailed reports of the product and system can simply be referred to as product hacks as they provide a productivity level for the client which they have never seen before and clearly stated exceeded their expectations by far.

— THE OUTPUT

We can proudly say that Rightsoft has become an essential part of Tappit’s software development team over the years. We still are working on the project and these are some of the outcomes so far:

  • An extensive payment layer where 8 different payment providers are integrated.
  • An extensive integration layer where 12 different service providers are integrated.
  • A comprehensive dashboard where Tappit and/or the client admins can easily manage and configure the system to enable/disable modules, create events & campaigns, monitor individual user behavior, and get detailed analyses.
  • A web application that allows to generate QR codes for secure cashless payments, browsing campaigns, promoting benefits, and accessing previous transactions.
  • A self-healing and scalable infrastructure as a code implementation.
  • A full CI/CD lifecycle automation implementation that ensures a healthy system with automated tests and handling the releases.
  • Mini applications to traverse through the database to ensure data integrity.
